Health ministry says of the 19 clusters still active, 8 are in Sarawak. FMTNews EMCO Sarawak

The health ministry has increased contact tracing to detect positive cases in Sarawak.

PUTRAJAYA: The enhanced movement control order may be enforced in certain areas of Sarawak if the number of Covid-19 cases there continues to increase, says health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.However, for now, the health ministry was still able to control the spread of the disease.

Noor Hisham said the ministry would continue to conduct contact tracing to find individuals who were exposed to positive cases, and those who tested positive to the swab tests would be hospitalised, while the rest would be quarantined. The eight clusters still active in Sarawak are Sentosa, Stutong, Kuching Engineering, Mambong, Jupiter, Kuching Medical Centre, Kuching Jetty and Melbourne PUI.Subscribe to our newsletter and get news delivered to your mailbox.
