Acclaimed novelist Peter Carey has joined a large group of "moral crusaders" in slamming Australia's historical treatment of Indigenous people according to Sky News host Chris Smith. Speaking on a podcast on the topic of Australia's colonial history, Mr Carey said Australia has "racial guilt" because of our knowledge of "genocide".
