The WA Government has confirmed confidential data from the state's Department of Health was made publicly available on a website after it was distributed over a third-party paging service. The system, run by a third party, has now been suspendedAccording to a report from Channel 9, a website was set up which provided confidential information about Western Australian patients and doctors, including those with suspected COVID-19 infection.

"The Department of Health immediately contacted the vendor and asked that the paging component of its service be ceased until the issue is addressed," the statement said. Pagers are used in medical contexts because they use low frequencies and are able to penetrate thick walls meant to block x-rays.

This has a familiar ring to it. An Australian government department looking at a system that has failed in another country then using something similar. Come IT, you are better than this!
