PPE tenders scrutinised for irregularities eNCA

Reports of alleged PPE tender irregularities are emerging at the Gauteng Health Department. It's alleged it awarded contracts to Presidential spokesperson Khusela Diko's husband. The contracts are valued at R125-million. CourtesyGauteng Health MEC Bandile Masuku says PPE contracts referred to in media reports were never carried out.

It is alleged the department awarded contracts valued at R125-million to Presidential spokesperson Khusela Diko's husband.Gauteng Health MEC Bandile Masuku said an audit was instituted as early as April to check that procurement of goods and services was being handled correctly. "It's a matter that has been handled by our Gauteng accounting services and they've actually found we might need to start a process," Masuku said.
