The Filipino Nurses United (FNU) said personal protective equipment (PPE) shortage is taking its toll among healthcare workers amid rising COVID-19 cases.

FNU President Maristela Abejonar, in an interview over DzBB on Sunday, underscored healthcare workers’ need for PPEs.

Abejonar added that ideally, healthcare workers should be changing their PPEs after attending to one patient. “Yung mga ganitong bagay hindi naipapatupad nang maayos. Ang katibayan po nyan ay tumataas na number ng ating infecred health workers. ,” Abejonar also said.
