Manila to launch walk-in testing center

AFTER launching two drive-through testing centers for the coronavirus disease 2019 last week, the Manila city government will open a “walk-in” testing facility next week to intensify its mass testing program.

The facility at the Ospital ng Sampaloc will start operating either on Monday or Tuesday, the city’s Public Information Office said. Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso bared on Saturday the city’s plan to open a “walk-in” facility for patients after the two drive-through centers “got so much traction.”

“For walk-in [patients], we will launch a walk-in hospital facility which might be opened on Monday,” said Domagoso. “We will place them outside the hospital premises, lest they got exposure with Covid patients.”
