– A returning overseas Filipino worker , who had wanted to be reunited with her family during this coronavirus disease pandemic, is now in critical condition after figuring in an accident along Pugo Rosario Road, Brgy. Maoasoas Norte, Pugo, La Union, early Saturday morning, that also claimed the life of the municipal employee who fetched her at the border of La Union and Pangasinan.

The group was travelling along Pugo Rosario Road heading north when a motorcycle, without its headlight on, came from the opposite direction, hugging the van’s lane. This prompted Galvez to veer the van to avoid collision, but the van hit a concrete fence by the road. Padilla was also brought to the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center in critical condition due to injuries.

Meanwhile, OWWA personnel visited the OFW around 4:30 a.m. Friday, and reported that Padilla was still in critical condition.
