Scotus is “supposed” to be an independent branch of government upholding the constitution. Period. Highest court in the land. Lifetime appointment, immune from political bias. If justices uphold the constitution, political party should be irrelevant.

Of course they would try this if the “opportunity” arose. I have zero doubt about that. I know it is not cool to say anything bad about RBG but she should have retired with 3 years left in Obama’s term. In hindsight, it was a selfish move that has put our country in grave danger.
