In this Feb. 10, 2020, file photo, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg speaks at Georgetown University Law Center, in Washington.Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Friday she is receiving chemotherapy for a recurrence of cancer, but has no plans to retire from the Supreme Court.
“I have often said I would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam. I remain fully able to do that,” Ginsburg said in a statement issued by the court. She said her recent hospitalizations, including one in May, were unrelated to the cancer. “My most recent scan on July 7 indicated significant reduction of the liver lesions and no new disease,” she said. “I am tolerating chemotherapy well and am encouraged by the success of my current treatment.”
Canada's 75 years and out retirement age on the Supreme Court is a better way to go. It's a decade after 'standard' retirement but covers people who just would never go.
Tough as nails.... Hopefully she makes it through no matter how politics dictate your opinion
Mom worked until 65. However, I cannot say her former employer didn't tired to have her retire before 60. She was stubborn. Mom also looks younger than her age. So unfair, Ginsburg can retire whenever she wants. She should thank President Trump. He gave her the reasons to live.
Time to put pressure on her to do the right thing?
...or until a Dem is back in WH.
Time to retire and get another Conservative Judge who uphold the rule of law and order not rule of Mob and extreme liberalism dictatorship
