The World War Two veteran raised a record sum of 33 million pounds by walking 100 laps of his garden with the aid of a walking frame in April in the run-up to his birthday.Showing self-depreciating humour, the Yorkshireman become a symbol of British endurance in the face of the adversity of the coronavirus crisis.
Moore, who served in India, Burma and Sumatra during World War Two, quipped earlier this year that having a knighthood would be funny because he would be Sir Thomas Moore - a reference to the Tudor statesman Sir Thomas More.
Should have been the first to be knighted...I'm launching an inquiry as to why Queenie had to wait this long... Many thanks to you Sir Tom!
Brilliant!!!!! Helping humanity with your feet instead of most people stomping on it with their mouths. Carry on.

Fantastic!
God bless
Congratulations Sir, well deserved
Commemorations in life are always better without a doubt CONGRATULATIONS sir
While I'm sure Sir Moore is a venerable man, He stands no chance of winning in tournament and earning the favor of the maiden he has sworn his courtly love.
Knighted for raising money for the NHS during a pandemic, what a completely fucked up place the UK is. Good on Sir Tom, absolute shame on the Government, no civilised wealthy country should require any form of internal charity, let alone that of a Centenarian veteran.
What's secret to their long lives?
Old man is a chick magnet now
