Boris Johnson wants to restructure the NHS. But the lesson of Covid-19 is there is not too little central power, but too much, says former health secretary Andrew Lansley

As the former health secretary responsible for the 2012 Health and Social Care Act, I believe I speak with some experience when I say that structural reorganisation of the NHS is not a task on which to embark lightly, let alone gratuitously.

Hilarious. Doctors are not in charge. They haven't been for a long time. Of course.... That was the plan with the Health and Social Care Act.... But the part with doctors taking charge got watered down..... Leaving just the rest of the awful plan in place....

In that case the doctors should be ready to sign the psycho gram for the party.

We must not let the justice league seize back control from doctors | Andrew Lansley

Lansley nhs reforms tried to privatise the nhs. The coalition LibDems removed the marketisation part. He was sacked soon after Cameron realised how toxic his reforms were. GPs aren’t part of the nhs, they’re private practices that allow nhs patients

Cognitive dissonance overload. Think I need time to process Lansley, in the Guardian, yet more NHS reform, oh and covid.
