New South Wales' top police chief has called for officers to start issuing tickets over warnings for breaches of public health orders.

"If you're not, please continue to use the police operational centre to get advice and guidance."

The additional pressure on police to fine people or businesses breaching health orders comes after Sydney's The Star casino was fined $5,000 for breaching social distancing rules, just hours after a patron who visited the venue tested positive for coronavirus. Police have also checked approximately 22,000 cars and conducted more than 3,000 spot checks at homes, businesses and public places, in Victoria.

Everywhere you go pubs, clubs, restaurants, supermarkets, malls, main streets of Berry shops they are all breaking the rules. And why are the positive cases on the rise?

Good, should have been coming down on these cretins like a tonne of bricks from the bloody getgo . We ALL know the rules and what is required of US ALL, there is NO excuse .

Dick Puller at it again

NSW can do whatever you want but if you fine people Victoria that's when it becomes a political issue and if you don't it still is a political issue. auspol

Crossroads hotel outbreak continues to grow as NSW records 15 new COVID-19 casesThe south-west Sydney cluster is a more infectious form of the virus than previously seen, NSW's Chief Health Officer says, as that state recorded 15 new cases of COVID-19. Health officials clearly have no handle on this virus. Why are we just learning now that COVID19 now has different levels of infectiousness and we are running hell bent towards a vaccine! Bizarre As the tests do not diagnose any particular strand of corona , they are probably finding the H1N1 flu which is around and way more infectious. Troubling is doctors are saying they are not allowed to test pple for flu ❤️ Melbourne COVID19Aus COVID19Vic ❤️

Crossroads hotel outbreak continues to grow as NSW records 10 new COVID-19 casesThe south-west Sydney cluster is a more infectious form of the virus than previously seen, the state's Chief Health Officer says, as NSW recorded 10 new cases of COVID-19 Evidently not enough testing stations Sth West Syd so people coming to Hunter New Eng JH hosp etc for tests. Instead of self iso are out & about in eateries clubs pubs fuel stations etc so watch out for spread to Hunter! More testing Sth West Syd as queues unacceptable to many! One of Daniel Andrews spies sent up to ruin GladysB’s opening stages of the economy. God I wish I could lick her toes. Isn't it just that there are some people who are really talented at spreading the virus (super spreaders)? This is misleading because it implies there is a new mutation.
