Enough already with the stupid clapping. So many Frontline NHS Doctors and Nurses died due to shameful lack of PPE from Tory austerity cuts in last decade! Boris and Tories have blood on their hands. The least the Tories can do is give NHS Staff extra hardship pay!

Deflect deflect deflect

We support the NHS 100% - but we will not be clapping with hypocrites that have broken rules, we will continue to stay safe, so we don’t put more strain on the NHS. We Thank you NHS for everything you do.

Not till they kneel for blm

Asked to clap for the NHS, by a government that is committed to privatising the NHS. hypocrites

And yesterday they were asked to go to the pub.

Last night millions mocked the NHS and it’s workers by breaking every rule. These people will once again put their lives at risk for all the muppets, spoilt brats and what not! Clapping after last night’s parties is humiliating to say the least.

What the NHS need is for Brits to vote better. Claps are like prayers. Useless.

No claps from me

I appreciate the NHS at the ballot box at every GE by not voting Tory. Clapping doesn’t pay them what they’re worth, recruit them, or equip them properly. The usual hypocritical claptrap from the blond bombsite and his cronies.

The NHS and Heath Britain have both advised that hand clapping aids the spread of the COVID-19 virus by accelerating infected particles through the air - much like talking loudly without wearing a mask. Bank transfers are safer at this time. Please make others aware.

One day, every single one of you will need the help of these wonderful human beings. I hope for your sake that you haven't voted to get rid of their sense of service and kindness when you do.

We've had enough of bloody clapping!!

No. Too much respect

Nah. They clap for BLM.

Pay your taxes, don't abuse your body, have insurance if you can.

Better still should stay home and cut the number of people going into hospital

No more clapping just give them more money

Virtue signalling, empty BS, money talks

Screw the clapping BS, put your money where your mouth is and pay them appropriately, empty bollocks

Ech, UK, UK... I am out of words.. . Just pathetic...

That's the NHS whose creation the Guardian opposed on the eugenicist grounds that it would 'eliminate selective elimination' and 'weaken the vitality' of the working class, yes?

Or we could pay the staff properly. Wonder which they would prefer?

Deflection tactic

NO , because the request for gesture is associated with government

BorisJohnson’s government uses ClapForCarers as a panacea for the plebs. To keep us quiet and and stop questions about finding. I’m not doing it. I’m asking my MP to raise the question of funding again instead.

Nope not doing this again. Love and gratitude to all who work in the NHS but too many people are taking the piss now, including the govt...,

Another political stunt

No doubt BorisJohnson and others with blood on their hands will be out there pretending to care about the NHS completely ignoring those frontline staff who died through his incompetence and lies.

I don't believe in gestures.

I see they asked for a 5pm clap to ensure people didn't have to put their drink down......

🤧

Humanhair

Clapping has become a bit meaningless especially when the destroyer in chief stands outside no. 10 flapping his flippers together. Standing in silence would be much more of a powerful gesture. Hold up a personal placard to say what you feel instead. More respectful.

Just get them a meaningful pay rise

Britons instead of clapping for the NHS had better keep distancing! It would serve the NHS more!

Clap for the 10 billion requested 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Most if all it’s time NHS staff were looked after within the workplace. Respected by managers/government and the people put in place to divide/rule/control. Looking out for doctors, nurses and all other disciplines re their health and mental well being would be a start.

bro just fund it

Triple lock the NHS pay scales, like the state pension, now. That would be a better ‘gesture’ than clapping.

Who's asking exactly I'm sure it's not the NHS workers who'd rather we treated better than mere platitudes

I’d prefer to give them a payrise. Happy to pay more tax to fund it.

This is a very cheap stunt by Govt.

Give us back our pension rights that the government took off us in age discriminatory way. Firefighters and judges had to take the government to court and won theirs. See McCloud judgement. No one fighting for nurses

I would prefer a pay rise or a sensible approach to easing lockdown but there is zero chance of that.

Instead of clapping, why not stop voting in Tory governments?

I'll not be clapping which I think an empty gesture. Redirect the total amount spent on defense to the NHS because this is where future battles will be fought. Viruses are here to stay, let's build credible offensives NOW. We've seen what can happen, forewarned is forearmed.

Clapping doesn't pay the bills. Its a lovely thing to do and of course we shall clap because its what we do, but just give the NHS/care staff a fucking decent wage eh? excusepottymouth

Done that. Been there. Let's clap for Boris' old fella instead Like father Like son

If we just clap we might find some sense of national unity! This propagandising collective ritual ignores the exoeriences if involuntarily martyed NHS staff and key workers. Displays if false virtue don't create change, they slow it

Oh ffs not again

I work for the NHS. I find this clapping an empty gesture now. Instead of clapping, act responsibly (unlike the government). The virus is still with us, please maintain social distancing and don’t crowd into pubs and shops.

I’m an ICU nurse. Thanks for clapping I appreciate the support. However, what would support the NHS more than anything else would be for the constituents of tory MP’s keep up pressure on them to fund the NHS with the money it needs to enable us to support patients NHSMillion

Lol. At least Ed only had trouble with a sandwich

I think we should clap for a payrise for the NHS 👏🏻
