PETALING JAYA: Expatriates wishing to leave Malaysia can only do so in cases of emergencies or for medical reasons, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

"The Special Ministerial Meeting had agreed, on Friday , to allow expatriates who are in Malaysia to leave the country in emergencies cases and for medical reasons only," the Senior Minister said in a statement Saturday .

"For foreigners that do not have any travel documents, they must first obtain the travel documents from their respective embassies," he said.
