The pandemic has exposed disparities in healthcare among people of color, and tribal communities are among the hardest hit. The state is trying to change that with free mass testing.

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes still have a shelter in place order. But the Flathead Reservation where they're located is carved up into a patchwork of non-Native and Native owned property, making enforcement difficult. Tribal leaders also say they noticed a large influx of 'snowbirds' returning to their vacation homes along Flathead Lake far earlier than normal, as cases spiked in other states.

He went to the location in Billings that was listed for covid-19 testing. He was deninied testing, due to lack of available tests. He went through his primary to get a referral and was then tested. Trump is setting a poor example and reducing test availability. Horrible.

No brainer...they set up onsite testing within the reservations. When we don't test we don't have an accurate number of positive cases. My son in Billings has been having troubles breathing and contacted his employer. He was ten told another employee tested positive days ago.

In poor rurual communities everyone is suffering regardless of color. When did NPR become so racist.

NativeAmericans Native Americans are real Americans, rest of us are all migrants. If we allow their wisdom to teach us the virtues of life we can live in peace, harmony, caring and sharing. They didn't understand when whites invaded 'this is God's land'

How about Native vs black? Asian? NPR is trying to incite a race war with identity politics.

What is the point of testing if over 2/3 of he negative results are in curate? This has been proven to be the case. What we need is easier tests and less invasive as well as more a curate tests.
