Increase funding to the police to further their training and holidays. It's a high stress job, and courts let out people the police have arrested. They need a stress outlet. Invest in their training to give them deescalation techniques. Support the people who run towards gunshots

I strongly disagree with defunding the police, terrible idea. However, I do think cops have shown they cannot be trusted to handle mental health cases, thus, I think mental health care workers should be doing the intervening, with cops on standby if a situation were to spiral.
If you support defunding the police just quit calling them. Nobody is forcing you to call police.
If black/white folk do not want to deal with police. I have an idea stop committing crimes
