JUST IN: Two Singaporeans from the public healthcare sector are among today's COVID19 cases: MOH

SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 219 new COVID-19 cases as of noon on Friday , taking the national total to 42,955.

The other healthcare worker is a 27-year-old woman who had gone to work at Vanguard Senior Care Centre in Woodlands.She was tested as part of MOH's"surveillance tests" for non-residential community care staff members in settings such as kidney dialysis centres, home care services, day hospices and senior care centres.

The vast majority of cases are work permit holders living in foreign worker dormitories, with 213 cases reported on Friday.A total of 221 more cases have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.
