When met at the National Heart Institute (IJN) just three days after his surgery, Danish Al ‘Aliy Fadzil was already playing with his trains and tracks from his favourite series Thomas & Friends.

Danish Al ‘Aliy Fadzil is known to be energetic and cheeky among family members despite suffering from a congenital heart disease since birth.

After that, Danish appeared tired for the first one or two days. IJN consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Dr Hew Chee Chin, who performed the surgery on June 6 to close the hole in Danish’s heart, said the physical growth of the patient might be affected if surgery was not performed in time.
