MELAKA: Language barrier turned out to be a challenge for Melaka Health Department when issuing a seven-day closure order to three barbers from Bihar, India, during a check on the recovery movement control order (MCO) compliance.

Melaka health and anti-drug committee chairman Rahmad Mariman said the health enforcement officers managed to explain the reason behind issuing the order to the outlet at Melaka Tengah here, with the help of an interpreter.

"We issued the order under the name of the licence holder of the barbershop, who is a local from Johor.
