PUTRAJAYA: As schools in Malaysia begin to reopen in phases starting Wednesday (June 24), the Health Ministry has reminded students and school staff to faithfully adhere to its Covid-19 guidelines.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this included practising good hygiene and social distancing at all times at schools.

"The cooperation of parents, students and school staff is of utmost importance to ensure a Covid-19 outbreak does not occur in schools," said Dr Noor Hisham in a statement on Tuesday . Individuals who record a temperature of 37.5°C and above or display symptoms of the disease will not be allowed in.
