PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has announced that the Kuching church convention cluster – one of the country's earliest Covid-19 clusters, has ended.

In a statement on Tuesday , Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah thanked the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee and all healthcare workers who played a role in managing the cluster.As of Tuesday , a total of 2,571 individuals have been screened and 191 positive cases related to this cluster have been found.There are three deaths related to this cluster, with 12 cases treated at the intensive care unit.

Under the ministry's benchmark, a Covid-19 cluster can be declared as closed if there has been no new cases for 28 days.
