Carried out by researchers at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the new study recruited 10 men and 10 women, all healthy, and asked them to eat dinner at two different times ― 6pm and 10pm ― before going to bed in the lab at 11pm. The findings, published in the Endocrine Society's Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, showed that when participants ate dinner later, at 10pm, their blood sugar levels were higher and the amount of fat burned was lower, even when the meal was the same as the one eaten at 6 pm.
The researchers point out that previous studies have also shown that eating later may be linked with obesity and metabolic syndrome, which is a collection of conditions, including a higher waist circumference, high triglyceride levels, low levels of “good” cholesterol, high blood pressure and high fasting blood sugar, that together can increase the risk of other serious health conditions.
It must depend to some extent on the time you get up and go to bed
Eat between 9am to 6pm and fast for the next 15 hours, you will be very healthy.
Would different digestive system causes different results?
Not to mention that when you're sleeping the body is busy burning the calories from your late meal instead of repairing and rejuvenating your body
