CORONAVIRUS | As long as they do not have a fever, they can leave hospital after 14 days, says the Health DG.

| Clearing a rt-PCR test is no longer a criterion for a Covid-19 patient to be discharged, according to the Health Ministry.

As for patients who do not display any symptoms, they can be discharged 14 days after they are tested positive for Covid-19. Citing one study in South Korea, Noor Hisham said none of the 790 close contacts of the 285 recovered Covid-19 patients was infected.He also cited studies that attempted to grow the virus in Petri dishes using samples taken from patients who have recovered from a Covid-19 infection but continue to test positive. These attempts have repeatedly failed.
