Sky News host Peta Credlin says rewriting history is a “very dangerous move” especially when it’s clear people “don’t even know it anymore in the first place”.

Amid rising race tensions across the globe after protests and riots following the death of unarmed African-American man George Floyd at the hands of the police, many streaming networks have stripped perceived controversial films and television shows from their platforms. One of the latest classic titles to get the axe is Gone With the Wind when HBO’s streaming service removed it over potential unfavourable potrayals of African-Americans.

Ms Credlin said she wonders if the HBO executives who “just pulled Gone With the Wind from their streaming list” were aware Hattie McDaniel, who played the Civil War-era house slave, was the first African-American actor ever to win an Oscar. “No one could watch this film and conclude that slavery was somehow justified, or that racism and prejudice had somehow been excused”.

What is next- The Bible?

Get a real job Cretin.

When does the book burning start?

There is an important rule in life... If those you despise are squealing, something must be going right... Peta, SOMETHING MUST BE GOING RIGHT

The moment you rewrite history is the moment history is doomed to repeat itself. Classic Orwellian move
