The revision of the 2020 budget was on Tuesday stalled due to an N186 billion shortfall in the proposal for the health intervention fund.

The federal government had requested the N500 billion health intervention fund to tackle COVID-19 in Nigeria.

“It has to do with the health sector. Of the N500 billion captured in the MTEF, it was only N314 billion captured in the bill,” Mr Jibrin said. “The N186 billion has to do with health and this is fundamental to that intervention and the health sector.
