There were no Covid-19 fatalities reported in Northern Ireland over the past 24 hours and the death toll there remains at 537. Six new cases were confirmed, bringing the total cases there to 4,796.
Dublin has the highest number of cases at 12,139 followed by Cork with 1,529 cases and then Kildare with 1,428 cases . As of last night, there were 312 people in hospital with confirmed or suspected cases of the disease - down from 346 people the previous night.The Mater Hospital continues to have the highest number of patients, with 31 confirmed cases. There were 19 confirmed cases in Tallaght Hospital and 11 in University Hospital Limerick.
The average number of close contacts was under three for most of April, but rose to over three towards the end of May and has risen to more than four this month.

I know more people that have died as a result of having missed their hospital appointment check-ups for 'underlying conditions' not Covid-19. Can we move on please? RIP to ALL who have passed away in an untimely fashion in 2020!
So cases have continued falling during phase 1 - all good.
No country apart from Iran has had 2nd wave after easing covid restrictions.....Like the expected hospital surge in April not going to happen.....
25 new cases and nearly everyone opening their businesses tomorrow This is a disaster waiting to happen. Still new confirmed cases every single day.
