Well they had a chance to test this theory with the anti lockdown protests, and all the tourists hanging out in my coastal town every weekend. It's almost as if the app itself is useless...🤔

GeoffreyHuntley Even if they all downloaded it, it wouldn't be. It requires the phone to continually connect and exchange data with other devices in the vicinity. Just how scalable do you think that is in a crowd of thousands?
Protests like these are not the most useful scenario for this app. If someone is diagnosed and attended the protests, then announce publicly to get everyone attended to self-isolate and test for the virus; put penalties on people who refuse. This app is more for other occasions.

They count downloads right? That’s the number they go on about. Installing it on my primary phone had it magically appear on my old phone and my iPad, both of which never leave the house. Is that 3 downloads for one in-use?
