HANOI (Xinhua): Vietnam reported a new case of Covid-19 (coronavirus) infection on Sunday (June 7), bringing its total confirmed cases to 329 with zero deaths so far, according to the Ministry of Health.

The latest case is a 22-year-old Vietnamese student recently returning to the country from Britain, said the ministry, noting that he was quarantined upon arrival and is being treated in the southern Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam has recorded no local transmission for 51 straight days while there are nearly 9,100 people being quarantined and monitored in the country, said the ministry. The 52-year-old dealer was caught red-handed transporting the illicit drugs in the province's Bac Yen district on Wednesday, according to local authorities. Further investigation is underway.
