Australian Medical Association President Dr Tony Bartone says mass gatherings could easily result in a second wave of the coronavirus.
"We know that community transmission is still occurring in low numbers but it is occurring in low numbers but it is occurring." Dr Bartone said the use of face masks and hand sanitiser aren't enough to keep the virus from spreading if thousands of people congregate without social distancing."It's important to also remember that the indigenous community are most susceptible, indeed very susceptible to the effects of COVID-19. We were successful in keeping it out of indigenous communities during that first wave. If it got into those communities, it would be an absolute disaster," he said.

As someone who’s caring for a Cancer patient I just hope they are being Coronavirus aware, there are many within the indigenous community who need to be protected from this virus. I respect and agree with everything they are saying I’m just hoping for no second wave. Stay safe
