BREAKING: The country's COVID-19 cases rose to 20,626 on Friday after the Department of Health reported 244 more infected patients.

The agency said there were 168 fresh cases or those whose test results were released to the patient within the last three days while 76 were late cases.

Late cases had their results released at least four days ago.Meanwhile, three more people have succumbed to the disease, raising the COVID-19 death toll to 987. A total of 4,330 others have recovered with additional 82 survivors.
