The World Health Organisation has announced eight fresh cases of Ebola Virus Disease in Democratic Republic of Congo .The agency said the cases were recorded in Wangata health zone, Mbandaka, in Équateur province adding that four patients have died of the disease.
“The Government of DRC has announced a new outbreak of Ebola virus disease in Wangata health zone, Mbandaka, in Équateur province. “Initial information from the Ministry of Health is that eight Ebola cases have so far been detected in Wangata, of which four have died and four are alive .” The agency further stated that more patients might been identified as surveillance activities increases.
