Image: Leah Farrell/RollingNews.ie HEALTH OFFICIALS HAVE confirmed that a further 8 people with Covid-19 have died in Ireland, and there have been 10 new confirmed cases.Since the beginning of the outbreak, there have been 25,066 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.
HSE officials today appeared before the Oireachtas, warning that most of Ireland’s existing public hospitals will not be fit for purpose in terms of meeting the requirements of safe distancing. The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation also addressed the committee, raising the issue of capacity in the Irish health service.

8000 health care workers have unfortunately contracted the disease. Sadly 7 have passed away. Health care workers are the only group who have been extensively tested. Do the math and realise how dangerous this thing really is.
