The New South Wales deputy premier has announced the next round of eased restrictions, including the reopening of gyms and beauty parlours.

John Barilaro said the government would be taking "a measured approach" and it would continue to be in conjunction with health advice. From June 13, gyms and fitness centres will allow 100 patrons to train at facilities with a maximum of 10 per class, with social distancing observed. Beauty parlours, dance studios, tattoo parlours, yoga studios and massage parlours will also be permitted to open.

"This does, in one way, nearly capture every area we haven't looked at previously, giving the economy an opportunity to rebound and an opportunity for people to start their businesses again," Mr Barilaro said. "It is important for us to continue the strong message of social distancing - the four square metre rule will apply - and that is all-important. "As they say, you build summer bodies in winter and that's what we're doing today.
