As increasing numbers of us are getting out and about, a big question looms over how and when we should be using public transport.
Anyone who catches a peak hour train or bus in a major city knows maintaining social distancing would be impossible in the busy periods. This morning, NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance said commuters needed to have "a degree of self-responsibility" when workers begin returning to the office.It comes after the NSW government outlined plans to enforce social distancing on public transport as Sydneysiders return to work.Distinctive green dots will be used on trains, buses and ferries to show passengers the safest places to sit and stand.People are being asked to avoid travel before 10am and after 2pm.
"You should advise customers when you have reached capacity under the new physical distancing guidelines but do not refuse them travel," the memo reads.
