Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said employees are not required to undergo a coronavirus test prior to returning to work.

“[The] IATF resolution stated that in no case shall testing be a condition for return to work, so we expect that specific agencies shall implement and enforce the IATF resolutions,” she also said, referring to the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.Under the guidelines, daily temperature and symptom monitoring of all staff who report for work will be conducted.

Those who are symptomatic with relevant history of travel/exposure on the date of work resumption will not be allowed to physically return to work and must consult with their primary care provider. “If initially tested negative but developed symptoms, the employee must be tested accordingly,” it said.

The problem, however, is that the same guidelines require everyone to stay at home and mass transportation is still suspended — inconsistencies that were earlier pointed out by a top official of the Philippine Retailers Association. Nearly 60 percent of 400 respondents said they were not comfortable about going to work, according to PhilhealthCare Inc., the health maintenance organization that commissioned the survey.Another 400 respondents are set to be interviewed, which, the company said, would give a clearer picture of the public sentiment.

pag Pogo may patest kayo? ano beeeee priority niyo?

Simpler to say you don't have the ability for mass testing! 🧐🧐🧐

They have to be! But do not pass on government responsibility to the employers. MassTestingNowPH

No need to test if the gov't really has no means or just won't test them at all.

Make up your mind DOH. Sabi nyo few weeks ago mass testing priority for front liners and employees. Ngayon, because you can't keep up wala na lang.

They were from work then. Or mga PNP na exposed? Dba? Kasi now workers will be as exposed as they are, albeit blindly.

105M+ PH population, 12,513 cases confirmed,824 deaths.

Workplace is a possible breeding ground for the virus. That should be mandatory, instead, for workers to undergo the testing to secure the control of virus' spread.

pero POGOs get tested every 14 days

This sounds too much like government is gambling with workers' lives for the economy. How many asymptomatics are heading back to the workplace because, to be honest, people need to earn?

Make sense ! Employees after testing may still expose in outside environment since they still need to travel from home to office vice versa 🤦‍♂️

It is not required because testing once does not guarantee an employee is virus free when he returns to the office the following day. Its actually insane to require employer and employees to test if u cant sustain testing every 2 weeks (14 days incubation)

Ano ito joke🙄😫

Pero ang POGO requiredwtf

Hay naku!!! Sabi nung una lahat dapat i test bago mag work...now pwedeng hindi....ano b ang totoo Plz say it once and stand by it!!!

This woman could not be any more stupid even if she tried.
