The Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council has hit out at the State Government for "stalling" on rapid coronavirus testing machines in remote Indigenous communities.Health advisor says not allowing test machines puts communities at riskAn Indigenous health advisor has told the ABC the impasse is putting remote communities at risk, particularly if travel restrictions are lifted.
The rollout is happening across New South Wales, Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia and Victoria, but Queensland has so far resisted approval. "Our communities need access to point-of-care testing if there is any hope of keeping our people safe throughout this phase of the pandemic."
48hr tests are sufficient enough when there is no cases & no one presenting systems in such a 'remote' community who are already isolated with a policed checkpoint & will stay that way unless they go walkabout themselves. Save the rapid tests for hard hit areas with actual cases.
Umm They have exclusive access to the traditional healer and his magic spells I think they will be fine
