The Manny Pacquiao Foundation (MPF) today turned over an additional 50,000 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) testing kits to the Department of Health to help the government increase its mass testing capacity.

Apart from the test kits, the foundation has also turned over 50,000 extraction kits and Specimen Preservation Reagent.

Jake Joson, special assistant of Senator Emmanuel “Manny’’ D Pacquiao, said that the test kits and the testing paraphernalia were all donated to the MFP by the senator’s billionaire friend, Alibaba founder Jack Ma. This, according to Joson, is on top of the 57,000 COVID-19 testing kits worth P400 Million donated to the MPF by Ma which was turned over last month to the DOH.

Apart from Joson, the turn over rites at the San Lazaro Hospital was facilitated and witnessed by MPF Operations head Choi Garcia-Ascue, and was received by San Lazaro Hospital chief, Dr.Rontgene Solante.
