Health authorities trying to avoid fresh outbreaks of coronavirus fear Australians are already too relaxed when it comes to social distancing measures.

As states begin to slowly reopen the economy, including restaurants and cafes in the coming days, a meeting of the nation's top health experts this week expressed concerned too many people would now disregard their coronavirus messages.

The committee will also make recommendations on public transport in a report to be presented to national cabinet on Friday.

Well what do you expect. The idiot who runs nsw has given in to pressure to open pubs.

Geez, given the push from the feds and the mad rush to open up, it’s no wonder

Has anybody used the million dollar field hospital erected in the park in ACT

FOR FUCK'S SAKE, 7,000 SICK AT ONE TIME IS NOT ACTUALLY AN EPIDEMIC, TIME THE MEDIA FESSED UP THAT YOU WERE CONNED BY FERGUSON'S TRIPE

From some of the comments about relaxing restrictions and letting the county go back to normal, it seems these people want Darwin to make the decisions for many.

With the test, trace and isolate resources at our disposal it is urgent that we cease this baby steps approach and get people back to an appropriately supervised work place ASAP. We know there is a risk but we live with risk every day in numerous ways.

True. We sit and wait for the next stage.

Watch the second wave hit about two weeks from... now.

Most d ont get it

Worse than that, his boss failed to condemn a large group of moron protestors outside VIC parliament complaining about lava lamps giving them cancer. I mean wtf is Morrison on?

They certainly are... Its bushweek meets christmas in places... The presents are bugs

Really.....who thought up this social distancing crap? Yeah research it. No evidence whatsoever that social distancing helps virus spreading..infact it makes it worse!!!!! Think people do not follow mainstream media!!

Well, based on the party going on over my back fence last night (Tuesday/before restrictions were officially eased), I'd say they're right.

Many are fervent believers in the Propaganda of the MurdoJourno macho, ‘don’t need this, I’ll stand as close I want & cough where & when I want brigade’ especially in country regions: where Shock Jocks rule and Pauline H has big advert boards. It’s an issue freely observable.

Yep agree many still dont follow distant rule as they too much on own world or on phone distracted. Need keep the fines up and more police presence and forget the whingers

Coronavirus, seat belts and smoking: Why Australia is a public health world leaderOpinion: Australia’s success so far at controlling the COVID-19 pandemic underscores the country’s long history of taking a collective approach to public health Such an awful panicdemic. So, we should keep it up and not have to fight so hard for it against those who govern us at times One of the tenets of globalisation that has been embraced by governments is the concept of 'Just in Time' supply chains. This has been shown, somewhat catastrophically, to be a very poor decision. Governments need to keep stockpiles of critical supplies.
