In the Eastern Cape today, Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize cautioned against negativity towards Cuban doctors who are here to assist South Africa in fighting Covid-19. Today’s comments echo his sentiments during a media briefing on 28 April.
He ought to understand. They overlook South African Doctors, don`t provide them with PPE and praise Cubans. Our government overlook South Africans, they don`t employ them and prefer outsourcing, it is the same with nurses, engineers etc.
Why didn't they just call upon doctors from SA who studied in Cuba? They must know what the Cuban doctors know 🤷♂️ eish I forgot that thinking and the ANC are not in the same WhatsApp group 🤦♂️

Bad PR, gone wrong. The arrival of the doctors shouldn't have been hyped-up. They should have just come, and did their jobs quietly, just like how the other hundreds of valued Cuban doctors in our rural/township hospitals arrived. The hype caused a questioning of US$ cost
