COTABATO CITY - The Cotabato Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is now on the third of a five-stage process required for accreditation by the Department of Health (DOH) to become a laboratory testing facility for coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, according to an official of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Under a memorandum of agreement inked last month with the CRMC management, the BARMM government awarded a P14-million fund assistance for the medical facility to upgrade its operations to include a laboratory testing capacity for COVID-19 cases. The third stage involves the conduct of intensive trainings for CRMC laboratory personnel concerned, Dipatuan said.
