has been directed to carry out necessary procedures for the assessment of a plant-based cough mixture as a possible treatment for COVID-19.
Nigeria is not the first country to consider herbal medicine as an alternative treatment for COVID-19 patients. “This has necessitated countries to look for solutions from within and Nigeria is no exception. It is worthy to note that Nigeria is blessed with medicinal plants which could be exploited. “These medicinal plants have documented scientific evidence of long use for the management of cough and other respiratory infections, with medicinal properties of mucoIytic, antitussive, expectorant, soothing, demulcent, anti-inflammatory and antiviral effects.
A welcome development
Make una dey there dey sleep na,cos una think say una fit run go abroad again abi.
Fake news
WHO will come for Nigeria's head soon 😀😀
NAFDAC has always been assessing those herbal mixtures. Govt is not saying anything new. Most of them don't pass at the clinical trial stage. While solutions are welcome from everywhere, govt should also allow NAFDAC do its job without undue pressure or interference.
This is good, NafdacAgency should christen our herbal mixture 'Covid19 Agbo',if they find one and proceed with mass production of it for possible export to other African countries the way Madagascar is doing with covid19organics....this can even bring massive revenue for us
Must govt direct NAFDAC to do this. Some MDAs are just so lackadaisical in their commitment to their function
The likes of Prof. Iwu and Dr. Abalaka should be brought in. We can!!
Nice one... No measure should be under rated this time. Even juju
Awake at last. While you are at it, look into these too. These one can make 🇳🇬 proud and bring some respect to 🇳🇬 battered image
Nice development
