Turkish officials and the company at the centre of the decision by the NHS to impound hundreds of thousands of protective gowns have claimed they are yet to receive a demand for a refund from the health service at the end of a day of confusion about an ill-fated order of 400,000 of the badly needed items of kit.
Good news though! Whilst HMG keeps struggling to obtain adequate PPE, the EU is providing supplies to the UK rescEU All items compliant with EU standards, ready to be used. Thank EU 👏

BTW dansabbagh and co, you seem to have missed that the British Ambassador in Ankara says only some of the gowns failed tests .. but most of them are still sitting in warehouse awaiting tests, and lots haven't even left Turkey yet!

Pretty much par for the course. We ordered it from a company with no experience making PPE and no export license, didn't talk to the Turkish govt then blamed them for the delay, then they covered for us by scrounging up some aprons to put on our plane. 🙄
