Labour leader says more money needed for health service and care sector in Zoom call with Glasgow voters

Asked by one Scottish voter whether he supported the introduction of universal basic income , the Labour leader said the focus should be on “managing the system we’ve got” during the crisis rather than trying to introduce anything new.Thursday’s Zoom session did have some awkward moments, despite Sir Keir telling people in Glasgow they should be “as frank as you like”.

Regardless of which political party he belongs to, he’s not wrong? Clapping is a lovely gesture that may boost morale but it’s contradicting when you have hundreds gathered together to clap? You’re thanking them or giving them more stress by ignoring social distancing?
