Barbershops can’t reopen yet, says health D-G

Barbershops are not allowed to operate under the CMCO as the risk of Covid-19 infection at these places is still high. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, May 7, 2020.

THE Health Ministry today said barbershops are still not allowed to reopen as there have been reports of Covid-19 cases among barbers and customers overseas. Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said infections have been traced to such premises in the US and Japan. Effective July 2018, access to full reports will only be available with a subscription.
