The Department of Health (DOH) said that it is too early to say if the enhanced community quarantine in certain areas will be eased by May 15.

“It’s very difficult to make any predictions as of now because we still have nine days,” said Health Secretary Francisco Duque III in an interview.

As of this writing, a total of 10,004 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Philippines, including 1,508 recoveries and 658 deaths. Wong recently said that the “doubling time”—or the duration in days for cases or deaths to double—in the number of cases and deaths has slowed down, saying that “from doubling every less than three days, now it is doubling around four days.”

“To prevent that third wave, we have to observe all the mitigation measures, physical distancing, hand hygiene, and frequent cleaning,” he added.“We still cannot say that we’ve won the battle against COVID-19 until we have a vaccine,” he said.

With the rising numbers of positive each day I dont think ECQ will end on May 15

With erratic testing. From 7,100 yesterday back to 4,600 in daily testing youl never see the correct figures in your inadequate data. . You think you can call that flattening a curve? Positive cases cont. To go up at 13,379 but you cant validare real time data

Where are the testing, tracing, isolate, treatment program? We cannot suffer the ECQ without food, money, jobs and at 47C, and tell us you're not sure. It's the LGUs, not DOH, sir, who're doing their jobs. Meanwhile, WHO worries the disproportionate infections of PH HCWs.

MASS TESTING NOW!

Duque please resign for the sake of the Philippines please please please

This is like being placed in confinement without a trial or a beer. Maybe I need a lawyer? Please let it end.

Extend it for the whole month na. Clearly it isn't safe yet

nakupo. one week na lang, too early to say pa rin?

Numbers are going up because of more testing. How many of these are sick ? How many required hospital? A Stanford study of blood tests from 3,000 volunteers in a California county showed 50 times more people had coronavirus and are now immune.

Wala kasing mass testing.

Hayz

Gobyerno nlang wag palabasin sa Malacañang.

DOHgovph SecDuque 🙄 🤥

My God, Duque. Inutil ka talaga. Gulatan na lang, ganon?

First time they said something right

Meanwhile, on December 3, 2020 Duque: Too early to say if ECQ can be lifted.....

Hope they reconsider the trend that cases are still increasing. We cannot be complacent at this time. We have witnessed how some countries experienced big surge after lifting lockdowns. We have to be very careful

So true... nakakatakot anong mangyayari after lifting of lockdown😱😱😱

We're fqckjed!
