China reported just three new coronavirus cases on Monday and no new deaths for the 12th day in a row, but still remains on alert for a possible second wave.

A total of 723 people remain in hospital across the country and just under 1,000 are in isolation and under monitoring for being suspected cases or for having tested positive without showing symptoms. The National Health Commission said the country’s focus has now shifted to the northeast border province of Heilongjiang, which has seen large numbers of imported coronavirus cases entering from Russia.

Well that's alright then, you focus your attention on democratically elected governments whilst giving a free ride to a repressive regime that totally controls it's own media. What could possibly go wrong?

As much as I'd like to believe this because I want to get back to work (in China)...I'm skeptical of the numbers as the local officials are being incentivised to hide cases with a threat of being punished if an outbreak occurs.

Think we all trust China about the same as we trust the British press
