SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health reported 931 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of noon on Sunday , bringing the total to 13,624.Fifteen are Singaporeans or permanent residents, of which two are considered as imported – both Singaporeans had been placed on Stay-Home Notices upon arrival in Singapore on 10 April.
Around 50 clusters linked to foreign worker dormitories have been identified thus far, including Singapore’s largest cluster linked to S11 Dormitory@Punggol, followed by Sungei Tengah Lodge and Tuas View Dormitory. There are currently 1,311 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 22 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
Three patients, who tested positive for the virus, have died from causes unrelated to COVID-19. The latest such fatality was a 40-year-old Malaysian man who died of a heart attack on 18 April. He had tested positive for the virus the day before.
