A 31-year old patient with coronavirus disease 2019 who escaped from the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital was found in his home in Manila on Sunday, authorities said.

The male patient was tracked down on Sevilla Street in Barangay 274 at 1:10 a.m. on Sunday by the PGH rescue team and the village security force, said Patrolman Jerus Gonzales of the MPD-Binondo Police Station 11. The patient, who escaped on Saturday night, was now back at PGH, one of the referral hospitals in the National Capital Region.

The hospital has 185 patients confined since February 3, according to its spokesman Jonas Del Rosario.
