The Indonesian government reported that 31 new deaths of Covid-19 were registered on Saturday, raising the total fatalities in the archipelagic country to 720, the highest death toll seen in South-East Asia. The nationwide death toll from the virus has now increased to a total of 358, including those from a cruise ship that was quarantined in Yokohama near Tokyo, the latest figures showed.
According to Mayar, four patients have died over the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll of the Covid-19 in Afghanistan to 47 since the outbreak of the virus in mid February. Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said at a press briefing that 99 more cases had been released, bringing the total cured and discharged to 3,762 in total or 65.5 percent of total infections.
