President Trump has repeatedly made assertions about coronavirus that medical experts in his administration have had to walk back.

WASHINGTON – Since the first coronavirus case was diagnosed in the United States more than three months ago, President Donald Trump has repeatedly made assertions about the illness and floated treatments that medical experts in his own administration have had to walk back.

As the controversy mushroomed, the White House blamed the media for sensationalizing his remarks. The president later said he was being sarcastic. But the episode was only the latest in a pattern of questionable claims or off-the-cuff remarks the president has made about the virus in recent weeks.Noting a government study on the impact sunlight has on killing coronavirus on surfaces and in the air, Trump leaped to the idea of whether the method could be used for treating patients as well.

cells within the body. The idea of using light to treat the virus, he said, was"not something we now have evidence to support."Trump didn't stop at light, however. He also noted that the Department of Homeland Security was studying the effect disinfectants – on surfaces – could have on the coronavirus. The president again wondered aloud whether that impact could be translated somehow into fighting the virus in people.

I’m going on a limb, if these journalists Jonathan and would take Hydroxychloroquine if they were on a ventilator. OMG

our CDC is controlled by big pharma which means what they tell docs to say isn't always medical truth due to it's not politically correct to say truth that the PC gov't bureaucrats don't agree with. Gov't will say things don't work, that do, to make $ for big pharma. MM arr

Do thump testing starting with thump and all his red hats. Lysol first.

USA Today can’t seem to come out strongly enough against trump - calling his ideas IFFY. They’re not iffy they are DANGEROUS. LETHAL STUPID

I’m gonna go out on a long limb here, and predict that Jonathan and Nicholas the authors of this dumb tweet would take hydroxychloroquine if they were on a ventilator. BrainDead Numskull.

The POTUS realDonaldTrump will have the last laugh USA Today just you wait and see. Mark my very words. All he has said is very possible: from the miracle to possible treatments.

He should probably let the experts talk and bow out gracefully

AprilDRyan What is the point of the 25th amendment? If not now, then when would it ever be implemented?

💡💡💡 How about just injecting propane? That heats well, & is surely just as safe & effective as bleach! *KILL* the virus & people using both brilliant ideas at once!

As a news organization you guys should be applauding the walking back of false information. As a matter of fact you could take a page out of the playbook of this administration and their willingness to “walk things back” Seriously thank God they are better than you!

I believe Tara Reade

Disinfectants are in vaccines, thimerosal and formaldehyde, both are considered disinfectants and both are common vaccine ingredients

Obviously, we should stop airing his live press conferences to slow the spread of misinformation.

Can't wait until his puppet show is over.

SF_Moro representa um último baluarte de pessoas dignas deste país, que não suportou a traição e o desmande do aprendiz de ditador e autocrata! Parabéns SF_Moro
